the kitefliers enjoyed meeting strange kites
from alien cultures.

sanuk sanuk!

 

 

demonstration task improvised at the end of
the chula challenge.
too bad - forgot the lines in hotel.
so it was a good chance for some line trade!

 

 

 

above : a pakpao tries to hook the large chula.

 

rule : small pakpao has 10 tries to get the chula down.
this fight was won by the chula.

 

 

its teamwork : lining ground-crew

 

 

beside the challenge : the place was crowded
with hundreds of kiteflying families

 

thailand : most things are connected
with "soccer"

 

 

at dusk : alien-kite demonstration.

incidentally i run into two guys from austria and
newzealand, karl and clyde, well known kiting pals,
haeding for huahin, so we could showup in a team
of four.

 

 

 

after dark : families having dinner on the flying field
